Encaustic Painting (Hot Wax Painting) combines wax medium with paint.
Carolyn will take you from faux encaustic techniques to the cold wax medium and, finally, to the formal hot wax encaustic process.
Painting with wax marries beautifully with all other mediums, so the acrylic, watercolor, or oils you may already have will be useful.
